Our Goals – International House of Bread

An Interdenominational Christian Mission Serving the Oppressed, the Poor, and the Persecuted (1999–2025)

Since our founding in 1999, International House of Bread has remained deeply committed to its calling: to serve Jesus by serving “the least of these” — the poor, the displaced, the oppressed, and the forgotten. As an interdenominational Christian ministry with a global footprint, our work has stretched across Poland, Sweden, Scotland, and India, reaching some of the most vulnerable populations around the world.

Today, we reflect on our goals — not simply as a vision, but as an ongoing reality and calling. These are not just ideals, but active missions driven by faith, compassion, and practical love.

1. Supporting People and Children Living in Poverty
At the heart of our ministry is the call to "care for the orphan and the widow" (James 1:27). Through long-term partnerships with faithful local leaders, we provide food, education, shelter, and hope to children and families living in extreme poverty.

India, Chennai – In partnership with Pastor Augustine Yesudoss, we serve children and disabled individuals living in under-resourced communities. Many of these children come from homes affected by illness, addiction, or abandonment — yet they are now embraced by a community of care and support.

Uganda – Orphanage of Mercy – Led by Mugerwa Sharfic, this home provides love and stability for orphans in one of Uganda’s poorest regions. Our support helps with daily care, education, and emotional healing.

Pakistan – Girls' Orphanage – In collaboration with Taskeen Warren, we provide a safe haven for vulnerable girls, many of whom have faced rejection, abuse, or exploitation. Here, they find dignity, discipleship, and a future rooted in Christ.

2. Helping the Persecuted and Oppressed
We stand with persecuted Christians, refugees, and victims of violence and exploitation. This part of our ministry is bold, sensitive, and often carried out quietly to protect those we serve.

Shelter for Persecuted Christians – Whether fleeing war zones or targeted for their faith, believers find refuge and restoration through safe housing, trauma support, and spiritual care.

Combating Human Trafficking – We partner with local teams to rescue and rehabilitate victims of trafficking, offering a path toward freedom and healing in Christ.

Support for Victims of Domestic Violence – We work to restore safety and dignity for women and children escaping abusive situations, providing emergency aid, counseling, and a pathway to recovery.

Care for Children from Dysfunctional Homes – Many children live in the aftermath of addiction, abandonment, or neglect. We help rebuild their futures through mentorship, housing, and education.

Fighting Poverty Through Practical Outreach – Food distribution, clothing, schooling, and small-business support are some of the ways we help lift families from the cycle of poverty and into a life of hope.

Faith in Action, Love Without Borders
Our vision has always been global, but our focus is always personal. Every child, every refugee, every broken heart we encounter is seen and known by God—and must be seen and known by us. From the slums of Chennai to rural villages in Uganda, from the orphanages of Pakistan to displaced Christian families in Europe, International House of Bread exists to be the hands and feet of Christ.

As we move toward 2025 and beyond, we remain fully committed to these goals. We invite you—churches, individuals, partners, and prayer warriors—to stand with us. Let us continue to invest in lives, restore dignity, and proclaim the Gospel through practical acts of love and justice.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in…”
— Matthew 25:35

Together, we are building a house of bread — not just of food, but of hope, healing, and the Bread of Life Himself.
